From there to Minnesota in 1864, leaving that state for Nebraska in the fall of 1878 where she resided with her daughter until her death. She has left two daughters and one son here in Nebraska to mourn her death. B. F. Sanders of Scottville, Mrs. H. Hodgkin, and Mrs. W. E. McRoberts of Leonie and also three sons in Nova Scotia and one daughter in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
When a young girl, she made a profession of faith in Christ and united with the Baptist Church in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
She was an active worker in the cause of Christ a greater portion of her life and died trusting in the loving saviour. Her house was often used by the minister of the gospel to proclaim the word of God.
Her funeral sermon was preached by Rev. A. W. Dewitt in Marquette Chapel. Text Rev. 14 and a part of the 13th verse:
"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth, yes, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them".
